4 Weeks Old!

I can't believe my tiny baby is already a month old. She has been so much fun and a lot of work, but she is for sure and angel baby. She is starting to sleep between 4 and six hours at night and she is holding her head up very well. She loves "talking" to us and she has even recently started smiling! She is such a good eater and now weighs about 10 pounds. We call her cheeks because of her cute chubby face.

HADLEY RAE SECRIST

After 24 hours of labor Hadley Rae was born! It was so fun to watch Greg fall in love with her. I think that he was wrapped around her little finger within moments. He loves her so much and it's so fun to watch him play with her. I can't get enough of her and I love to spend my days starring at her and fattening her up.

We had such a wonderful experience at Ogden Regional Hospital, the nurses were amazing and of course so was my wonderful doctor...we'll miss you Dr. Lochner.

I had some amazing help from family and was able to deliver without and epidural....not that I think I'm more of a woman for it but it was an amazing experience and the hardest thing I think I will ever do.

31 down 9 to go!

We are getting so close to our delivery day! Everything with the pregnancy has gone really well so far, our baby is healthy and very VERY active, I feel like I'm getting beat up all day long. My favorite is when she gets her little foot up on my ribs and drags it all the way across one side to the other, I can't breathe when she does it, it's SO exciting. We are starting to have our OB visits every 2 weeks now which means we are getting close. I'm starting to have a few braxton hicks contractions which are pretty weird, my whole belly gets really hard but it doesn't really hurt.

This weekend we are going up to Bear Lake to just hang out and have fun, I'm really excited because I know the lake is still going to be FREEZING and it's going to feel SO good, I'm even willing to go to the beach in my bathing suit in front of everyone just to get a little relief from being so HOT!

4 Years Ago Today...

Today is our 4 year anniversary! Time really has flown by but we have done so many fun things together. Greg is the best husband I couldn't wish for anything more. He is the hardest worker and the sweetest man! We've been through some trials but have come out on top and most of all we STILL really love each other. Happy anniversary Greg the Great I adore you!

2o weeks

Baby Secrist is a GIRL!!! I am still in total shock, I was fully expecting our little bundle to be a boy but I am so excited for this new addition I just can't wait to see her little face! I'm getting even bigger of course but trying my best to keep my weight gain within reason which is harder than I could have ever imagined because I feel like I am always starving to death.

I also to just to comment on how grateful I am that our little girl is perfectly healthy and well... perfect. We had some concerns as every expectant parent does but we prayed so much that our baby girl would be okay and sure enough she is! Heavenly Father truly does hear and answer our prayers.

Growing Growing

17 Weeks

18 Weeks

I just keep getting bigger and bigger by the day. It's pretty incredible to see the growth in just a week or two. I will say, however, that it hasn't been without difficulty. I mean the whole growing and stretching thing... not so comfortable and also kind of exhausting. Don't get me wrong I will do whatever it takes but it's like come on mother nature I thought pregnancy was supposed to be my break. WRONG

The baby is kicking and moving so much Greg was even able to feel it last night! I love feeling the little tyke moving in there although I must say it is kind of trippy.

Next thursday is the big day where we get to find out the sex of this child, it will be nice to be able to refer to the baby as a gender instead of "it". :)

It's Growing

The baby is growing like a weed! I fear I'm going to give birth to a monster. Between 8 weeks and 16 weeks I have doubled in size however with the weight gain and the loss of my waistline I can't help but be excited.

Starting Out

Welp I'm doing it, I started a blog, i feel as though now that I am a member of the creating life club I should simultaneously be a "blogger" I will, in this blog, record my life which I know will be so interesting to all who read. Who knows maybe they will even make a movie about it.
